Keyboard Shortcut for Petza "Mate Two Pets" Comman
Is there a way? I was actually working on a non-inbred dali project yesterday and my right wrist actually hurts from having to go to the top of the screen, click "petza" and then click "mate two pets" on the drop-down menu.
I'll take some risks and mess with some things if this is possible... anyone know how to make it happen?
And while I'm at it, let's say I have one male and twelve females out. Is there any way to select "mate two pets" and breed to all the females at once? You can't shift-select/control-select on this menu, so I'm thinking no... but it never hurt to ask!

I have nothing constructive to say, but omg I've been wishing for this for years. ;-; I'd actually injured my wrist (repetitive motion) by the time I finished my spotless trotter line; it's part of the reason for the two year gap between progress. Bleh! (I didn't realize until after the damage was already done, to anyone who might be wondering why I did that to myself.)
Things I've found to help: using the playpen and putting the carrying case quite close to the top, under the 'petza' menu. Minimum movement seems to lessen wrist strain. The obvious taking breaks also helps. Take it slow~ I personally do four puppies at once, as it's all I can handle on my wrist. These are more environmental, but a wrist brace of some sort (they make gloves etc specifically designed for repetitive motions) and having the mouse level with or a little lower than your elbow might also relieve a little.
Anyway, wtb keyboard shortcuts! Am very interested in whatever comes of this.

Sooo I was totally stalking this board, hence the massive bump.
However.
I wrote an autohotkey script that will go into the petza menu, select mate two petz, and hit the okay button.
Soo if you guys want it here it iiiis...
I think the .exe can run without autohotkey installed. (Don't really know though because I've never done this before... so let me know!)
But if you don't have/want it (it's free), use that.

If you have trouble with the .exe, let me know and I'll put up the script. You'll just have to get autohotkey haha...
Run the .exe... then all you do is press windows key + m...
And voila. :)
Let me know if it doesn't work for you...
askdfj' d I just realized that I only have it really working for p4. because it recognizes the p4 window. I'll change that before tonight. BUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE P4. It won't run. Oops. :P
Eventually I want to expand on it so that you can enter how many petz you're looking to breed, enter the names of the males and of the females, and as long as you have those petz out it will breed them.
HOWEVER.
This was just a quick little tool. YAY PROCRASTINATION.
okay back to real work nowww...

MAGIC.
Haha, learned a few things while I was away. ;) It's really not that hard, ahk uses a very... bare bones language.
And yayy, I'm glad. I was worried... because, I'd never turned an ahk file to an exe.
BUT YAY. :D
Edit:
Can someone screenshot their p3 and p5 games for me? I need to know what the menus look like...
Thanks:)

Well it's more than I knew...and you seem to be the first one to have done this, so that's pretty cool! xDDotty wrote:MAGIC.

Do you want the contents of all the menus too, or is this fine?

Yayy, Andi, glad it's working for you! :)
Thanks, Lily, that's exactly what I needed.
P5 and P3 will be working in no time:)

P3 and P5 should work.
Not that I can test it really.
But let me know.

Cool! :O I'll give it a try!
Curious, does V2 cover all three, or just the two new ones? Wondering if I still need the first one or not. xD I'm guessing it covers them all, but just making sure. I'll edit to say if it worked alright or not!
EDIT: Answered my own question, yes it covers P4! xD
AND YAY! It all worked Dotty!
This is awesome, thank you!!

I'm impressed, Dotty! :D looking forward to seeing if you can make it so you can breed multiple females to a male!
edit: so I tested it out and since I had to breed something, and I couldn't be bothered to switch in/out any petz, I ended up breeding these two:

Baldr (from Emily/Croag/Bubblewrap) and Wigglebum (from Kanami)
aaaand I forgot I'd left my own hexed file in and out popped this:

lol oops.
